One of the Bangkok restaurants that Lara from http://grantourismotravels.com/speaks most highly of is SomTum Der and as all her recommendations so far have been spot on I decided to finally take her advice and visit it for myself.

I have heard several positive reviews of a restaurant called “The Local” down near Asok and so decided to head down there for lunch on a recent day off. What I hadn’t actually bothered to do was to check its opening times and when I got there I realized it is only open for dinner!
